This used to be Jack Robinson's space on the web. We would like to leave this up in thanks to Jack for his involvement in the breed.
We receive a lot of mail, phone calls, pictures, xmas cards and etc. from our customers over the years, but just recently we received a masterpiece that was a very humbling experience and would like to share it with you.
Feb. 1998 Dear Jack Robinson, I picked up an issue of dog fancy magazine which I fingered through and saw a picture of Oakie. I then desired an American Bulldog. No research on breeders and what type of dogs that would be available was done. I proceeded to contact you. When we spoke I had not ordered one video or requested one photograph from any breeder. You made me a solid offer which was send payment for a puppy that I had never seen and if for ANY reason I was not satisfied you would return my payment and pay shipping roundtrip out of your pocket. After receiving my puppy, I began to investigate the breed and what other breeders were selling. Needless to say, I discovered that you had sent me championship quality unmatched by any American Bulldog that I have come across in our geographical area. I would like to express my gratitude to you for the puppies you have sent me. Furthermore I commend you on your completeness with appreciation to and for the breed. I have enclosed a photo of the first dog at 9 months with my three year old son Michael. The dog is now 12 months old and weighs 110 lbs.
Sincerely, Michael Huerta
Michael's address and phone number are available upon request.
Michael wasn't alone on his assessment of his male pup. I had a call from a gentleman that wanted to buy a breeding age female. He stated that he already owned 2 or 3 females that he was going to breed. I was curious as to what they were going to be bred to because there is one or two breeders lines that I don't want to cross with. (See Breeding Methods.). At first he was a little hesitant about telling me. Then he told me that he was going to breed all of them to Michael's dog as he was the most magnificent American Bulldog that he had ever seen. |
